Olusola (Sola) Idowu, PhD, graduated from Newcastle University in 2000. Sola has a track record of developing, implementing, and commercialising disruptive technologies, which drive new product development in the healthcare and personal care sectors.
Hexis Lab goal is to be a very successful business in the Northeast of England with international collaboration and outreach, helping the local economy through job creation and providing opportunities for young scientists in the region.
Otaski Energy Solutions (OtaskiES) is an AI-based energy management company. We are a deep science venture that innovates in creating circular economies for smart infrastructures. We are focusing on developing intelligence to save money, energy, and reduced carbon footprints by implementing our cutting-edge technologies. Philip Inegbedion, PhD – Founder Energy system and Design engineering, carbon capture, smart city energy optimisation and energy business. Educated at Newcastle (MSc) and Northumbria (PhD in Carbon Capture) Universities. Skills: carbon capture, energy system and design, sensor fusion, design thinking, smart city infrastructure and integration, and AI/ML for Business.

The BBLF will serve as catalyst to promote international business collaboration between overseas and local businesses in the region. Providing networking support for international engagement and at the same time facilitating bespoke mentorship workshops to empower local businesses, and black entrepreneurs to trade internationally.
