Olusola (Sola) Idowu, PhD, graduated from Newcastle University in 2000. Sola has a track record of developing, implementing, and commercialising disruptive technologies, which drive new product development in the healthcare and personal care sectors.

Hexis Lab goal is to be a very successful business in the Northeast of England with international collaboration and outreach, helping the local economy through job creation and providing opportunities for young scientists in the region.

We are focusing on developing intelligence to save money, energy, and reduced carbon footprints by implementing our cutting-edge technologies. We believe our technology can help humanity to take a greener and more environmentally friendly approach to tackle the key challenges generated by the increasing global energy needs.

Philip Inegbedion, PhD – Founder Energy system and Design engineering, carbon capture, smart city energy optimisation and energy business. Educated at Newcastle (MSc) and Northumbria (PhD in Carbon Capture) Universities. Skills: carbon capture, energy system and design, sensor fusion, design thinking, smart city infrastructure and integration, and AI/ML for Business.

Thandee-James LTD

Peace and James are married entrepreneurs who founded Thandee-James LTD in 2021. Thandee-James LTD is a global digital business that builds websites, creates content for Amazon, and e-commerce, and provides digital marketing consultancy services to optimise and drives sales for existing businesses as well as drive traffic to fledgling businesses. Part of their E-business also includes digital designs for the print industry and logos. They currently create a steady stream of income Publishing (both digital and hard copies) and creating designs on Amazon Merch on Demand platform.

They have a strong passion for building online businesses and are both committed to this company. They enjoy working together to create successful ventures and constantly looking for an opportunity to make a difference. Thandee-James LTD is one of their latest projects. They use their experience and entrepreneurial skillset to identify market opportunities and help build successful businesses. In addition to digital businesses, they also invest in real estate. By diversifying their portfolio, they are positioning themselves for long-term success.

Globalisation is central to the growth of UK economy

The BBLF will serve as catalyst to promote international business collaboration between overseas and local businesses in the region. Providing networking support for international engagement and at the same time facilitating bespoke mentorship workshops to empower local businesses, and black entrepreneurs to trade internationally.
